If when presenting a slide show and you have distorted text or images it is most likely due to "hardware acceleration"
- Go to "Slide Show" tab
- "Set up Slide Show"
- then check mark "disable hardware graphics acceleration"
Try playing the slide show again and you should have no more issues.
